Steamed crabs from the Dupont Circle market with red, white, and blue potatoes boiled in a whole lot of salt. The crabs were a hilarious misadventure, and we were definitely still hungry when we were done.
Bonus local breakfast: tomatoes, roasted overnight, with local aged cheddar and rosemary Italian bread for toast.
Our meals this week were somewhat half-assed, but when we did eat at home, they were mostly local. I think this week we definitely noticed the lack of individually packaged chicken breasts, so we’re going to look for chicken at the market this morning (that is, if SB ever wakes up).
